Most referrals to other specialists will require you seeing or speaking with a GP. However, there are a number of local services, listed below, that you are able to make self referrals to.

Solent NHS Trust Sexual Health Service provides Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) and Genito-Urinary Medicine (GUM) services across Hampshire, Isle of Wight, Portsmouth and Southampton.

Podiatry
The podiatry service aims to provide high quality treatment and advice to help patients maintain independence and mobility, as well as reducing the risk of ulceration, infection and amputation in those at high risk of developing foot problems due to conditions such as diabetes.

(MSK) First Contact Practitioners (FCPs)
MSK FCPs are offered as a better alternative to seeing your GP for MSK conditions. Our service aims to improve your access to the Right Care, at the Right Time, from the Right Clinician. Early specialist assessment with advice has been proven to enhance patient recovery and self-management. Patients must be 18 years of age and over.

Talking Therapies Hampshire
Supporting people to improve their mental wellbeing through education, guided self-help tools and evidence based talking therapies. Working alongside GPs to help people to recover from the most common mental health problems like anxiety, depression, OCD, PTSD and phobias.

Mental Health Practitioner
Sometimes referred to as a First Contact Mental Health Practitioner, this member of staff is an experienced professional who can support you with either a diagnosed or undiagnosed mental health concern. This could be one or a number of mental health feelings and symptoms such as anxiety, low mood, loneliness, grief, hallucinations or stress.

Mind Solent
Our network of recovery-focussed Wellbeing Centres offer safe spaces to be yourself and get back on track through courses, workshops, activities and 1:1 emotional support.Through an initial telephone assessment, we'll work with you to set goals for your time with us and find the right courses to help you work towards them. We can also assist by signposting you to local services for any additional support needs, like housing, benefits, counselling, crisis support or other specific needs.

CAMHS Hampshire
Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) are an NHS service that aims to help young people up to the age of 18 who are finding it hard to manage their emotional and psychological health, and who are suffering with acute, chronic and severe mental health problems. CAMHS have community teams of staff across the Hampshire area that have expertise in working with children/young people with complex mental health difficulties and their families/carers.

Inclusion Hampshire
Hampshire drug and alcohol is a partnership led by Inclusion (part of Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust) working with Catch 22, Parent Support Link and others. Inclusion Recovery Hampshire is the service for individuals aged 25 and over who are or have used drugs. Hampshire 24/7 is the service for individuals aged 24 and under who are currently or have used drugs or alcohol. Parent Support Link is the name of the support service provided for individuals affected by someone else’s use.
Pregnancy (Badger Notes)
SHIP Maternity Referral is an NHS service providing a single point of access for all maternity referrals in the Portsmouth, Andover, Basingstoke, Winchester, Southampton and Isle of Wight areas. The aim is to make sure you have access to the right care from day one. SHIP Maternity Referral will triage your referral based on the information you provide and the hospital will contact you to start your antenatal care. In the meantime if you are worried about your pregnancy, please tell your GP.
Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit (EPAU)
We provide consultant and nurse led clinics which offer prompt access for women with early pregnancy related problems. Appointments are arranged via a referral from a GP or health worker. Women who have previously had an ectopic, molar pregnancy or whose last 2 pregnancies have ended in miscarriage can self-refer to the unit.
Perinatal Community Mental Health Service
The Perinatal Mental Health Service provides specialist help and support to birthing people with antenatal or postnatal mental health problems, and to the health professionals involved in their care. The Perinatal Community Team works in close collaboration with; the Maternity Mental Health service and the Mother and Baby specialist inpatient unit (Clover Ward).

The team provides support to those over 55 who are living with dementia within their own home, as well as their families and carers.
